youth at the Building for the Future fundraiser.

Bobby Stevens Jr. started his high school career as a Holy Cross Crusader in the fall of 2001 and is a member of the first graduating class of Guerin Prep High School in 2005. He is the first Guerin Prep graduate to be honored at the annual scholarship dinner. Bobby had previously attended St. Celestine’s grammar school. Following his graduation from Guerin Prep he attended Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. He was drafted out of college in the 16th round of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft. He played at various levels as high as AAA in Norfolk, Virginia and has had an impressive career in semi pro and professional baseball. He has played shortstop within both the Baltimore Orioles and the Atlanta Braves organizations.

Today Bobby is Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Windy City Baseball, a youth baseball organization with more than 200 children from the northwest side of Chicago participating. Windy City baseball calls the Holy Cross Athletic Center home. He enjoys instructing the kids and helping them learn the essentials of baseball. Bobby is always willing to help out at Guerin Prep when needed.

Bobby’s family has always been a part of the Guerin community. His three sisters, Cristina ’08, Alicia ’10 and Brianna ’14 are also graduates of Guerin Prep. Bobby’s dad Bob Sr. has spent many years coaching and advising the baseball programs at Holy Cross and Guerin Prep..
