Many couples began prom festivities at school on the Red Carpet. Later that evening, Hugo Diaz and Jenny Dankowski were crowned king and queen.

Guerin Prep Names Class Officers for 2010-11
Students at Guerin College Preparatory High School have elected class officers for the coming 2010-2011 school year.
Senior class officer are Judy Wrobel, president, Rebecca Hufnus, vice president, Sara Fonseca, secretary, Connor Hudson, treasurer, Vicky Giannini, publicity chair, and Rudy Melgar, social chair.
The new junior class officers for next year are Joanna Nguyen, Amanda Rice, vice president, Caitlin Flanagan, secretary, Andy Ristau, treasurer, Jeanette Fonseca, publicity chair.
The sophomore class officers are Jaclyn Story, president, Andrew Rangel, vice president, Geena Lardino, secretary, and Shannon Manzella, treasurer.

Congratulations to our Scientists!
In the 2010 Science Fair, five Guerin Prep students earned special recognition. Taylor Greene received a gold rating for both her paper and her project. Additionally, her paper earned an Award of Excellence plaque; for her project she received a $50 bond from American Association of Zookeepers. She also received a first place certificate, bag and medallion from the U. S. Army.
Kevin Kross and Andrew Range both earned a participation award for their paper; a gold rating for their project.
Andy Ristau received a gold rating for his paper; silver for his project; and a certificate and bag from the U.S. Army.
Natalia Skryniarz earned silver for her paper; gold for her project; a certificate and bag from the U. S. Army, as well as an invitation to a board meeting, a dinner and tour from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District

Blood Drive
Ninety-two members of the Guerin Prep community turned out to donate blood during the National Honor Society's annual blood drive in conjunction with Lifesource. In all, 79 units of blood were collected helping to save the lives of up to 237 patients in need of life saving blood.
On behalf of these patients, their families and everyone at LifeSource "Thank you!" You have truly made a difference in our community.
