Dear Parents,
The Parents Club of Guerin Prep would like to welcome you and your student to Guerin Prep.
Our Mission
The purpose of the Guerin Parents Club is to involve parents and other family members in events that enhance the student/school experience. The Parents Club exists to help strengthen the partnership that exists between the parents, students, faculty and administration.
Our Vision
The vision of the Guerin Parents Club is to encourage family members to be active participants in the Guerin Community. We want the "Guerin Experience" to be exciting for both the student and the parent. Share your time and your talents to help our school grow. Meet other parents and make new friends. Step into our school and stay active in your student's education.
Join us
We welcome and encourage you to join the Parents Club. The Parents Club is open to any family member who wishes to support the Guerin students and Guerin Prep High School. We invite you to join our monthly meetings the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at Guerin Prep High School. Please park in the back of the school and enter via the school store doors. The executive committee of the club will also meet monthly, at 6 p.m., right before the general sessions on the second Tuesday of every month.
Volunteer
We welcome as much or as little time as people want to give. Even one hour of your time is valued and appreciated. Remember, there is strength in numbers. Parent involvement is our priority.

Seeking Volunteers for Eight positions
These new officers are seeking parents to fill eight position that have been newly defined in the bylaws. If you are interested in any of the eight open positions please call 708-453-6233.
Chairperon of the School Support Committee:
Assist the Director of Development of Guerin College Preparatory High School as directed and with the major fundraising efforts of the school (including the Annual Craft Show, The Big Event, and the Annual Raffle);
Chairperson of the Parent Outreach Committee:
Assist the Director of Enrollment of Guerin College Preparatory High School as directed and with recruitment activities and events, especially Guerin College Preparatory High School Open Houses;assist in promoting Guerin College Preparatory High School to perspective families; assist in the development of Parent Outreach events and activities to perspective students and families; assist in the development of relationships with surrounding community for the purpose of encouraging enrollment at Guerin College Preparatory High School;
Chairperson of the Social and Spiritual Committee:
Assist the Principal of Guerin College Preparatory High School as directed and with major school social functions (including Freshmen Parent Information Night, Back to School Night, Got into Guerin Night); provide mentorship and support for new parents;organize perspective family night events;pProvide support and send official notices/condolences to families dealing with tragedies and death;
Parent University Committee:
Assist the Principal of Guerin College Preparatory High School in the development and hosting of forums, educational events and workshops designed to meet the needs of parents;
Class Parent Representatives (4):
To act as direct liaison to each specific parents group (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior);assist in promoting active participation in Parents Club meetings, committees, and events; assist in the development of Parent Outreach events and activities;act as parent ambassadors at Parent Club events and activities.
Athletic Booster Club
OUR MISSION
The Guerin Prep Athletic Boosters is a voluntary organization composed of and operated by alumni, parents and friends of Guerin Prep. The Boosters' primary mission is to support the athletic program of Guerin Prep. Specifically, the Guerin Athletic Boosters club has the following objectives:
a. Provide equal support to all athletes and coaches at all levels in sports sponsored by Guerin Prep.
b. Foster sportsmanship and provide an example to young people.
c. Engender a feeling of camaraderie among parents, fans and students of the school.
d. Raise funds to support and enhance the total sports programs.
e. Perpetuate the Guerin Prep tradition of acting with honor and good judgment toward ourselves, our opponents, the school and God.
JOIN US
We welcome and encourage you to join us the first Wednesday of every month from August 3, 2011at 7 p.m. in the Guerin Prep cafeteria. Watch Edline announcements for specifics. All meeting minutes are now posted on Edline in the Athletic Boosters folder on the Edline home page in the event you miss a meeting.
ACTIVITIES
The Boosters coordinate several fundraisers during each school year including running the concession stand for football, wrestling, and basketball events as well as professional wrestling events and AAU basketball tourneys. Split the Pot raffles are coordinated by the Boosters during sporting events. The Boosters also sponsor a monthly food night at a local eatery that gives a predetermined percentage of sales back to our organization.
