MODERATOR- MS. MARILYN SKOWRON
Guerin Prep’s Student Council is a group of representatives selected from each of the 26 homerooms of Guerin Prep. These students are dedicated to listening to the student body’s concerns and ideas, and then acting on the issues. Student Council is committed to some type of community service during each semester. In addition, Student Council is the group responsible for community spirit.

Lead Tutors
MODERATOR- MRS. MELINDA MEO AND MRS. TRACY HANNON
LEAD is a peer tutoring program in which students are trained as tutors to assist their peers under the supervision of faculty members. During their training, students are given a handbook and receive specific techniques and guidelines for successful tutoring. At the end of the training, tutors sign a code of ethics from the National Tutoring Association. The program allows tutors to share what they have learned about successful study habits, completing homework, writing thesis statements and doing projects. Tutors are required to be available for tutoring in the Welch Center twice a week and receive 1/4 credit per year for their service. Faculty members may request a referral to the LEAD program. |
