Academics
- More than 96 percent of our students go on to college after graduation.
- The Class of 2008 was offered more than $2 million in scholarships by colleges and universities.
- Programs at Guerin Prep are personalized to individual students.
- Both the Program for Advanced College Credit (PACC) and the Advanced Placement Program (AP) enable students to earn credits for college while at Guerin Prep.
- Service learning is integrated into select coursework and applies learning into real world situations.
- The Barbara Welch Learning Enrichment Center offers academic and personal enrichment learning opportunities.
- The College Counseling Program assists students with all aspects of the college selection, application and financial aid process.
Activities
- Campus Ministry program that includes yearly retreats, including the Kairos retreat for seniors.
- Four-year theology program.
- School-wide liturgies.
- More than 30 clubs: academic-related, arts-related, leadership and honor societies, service/social awareness.
- School activities include Spirit Week, Guerin Pride Days, Theater and Music productions, Homecoming, Proms, Talent Show.
Athletics
- Nine interscholastic sports teams for both boys and girls.
- The Holy Cross Athletic fields are now available for both girls’ and boys’ sports.
- Member of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA), the Catholic League for boys and the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference (GCAC) for girls.
- Won four regional championships during the 2007-2008 school year: Girls' Volleyball, Boy's Basketball, Girls' Softball and Boys' Baseball.
