A message from the newly formed Alumni Council
Dear Alumni,
We have entered our second year as the new combined Alumni Association, and we are off to a great start! Our accomplishments include establishing a mission statement, installing a full alumni board, and running events. I wanted to take this time to give you details on these accomplishments, as well as extend to you another invitation to “Bring Back the Pride!”
We have established a mission statement for the Association. The mission statement is, “The Guerin Alumni Association is a group representing the graduates of Mother Theodore Guerin, Holy Cross and Guerin College Preparatory high schools. In all its work, the Alumni Council’s ultimate goal is to support Guerin Prep’s dedication to the education and faith development of young women and men and its mission of love, mercy and justice.” This mission statement will guide us in giving back to the school, students and community all of the good that has been bestowed upon us as students of Guerin Prep, Mother Guerin and Holy Cross High Schools. We Remember,
We Celebrate,
We Believe
Representatives of six different schools and alumni associations with ties to Guerin Prep and the Sisters of Providence gathered Nov. 1 to celebrate All Saints Day and the annualMemorial Mass. The names of those who died during the past year from each of the associations were read outloud and a candle lit in that group's memory.

Why did this woman's outfit create a stir
at this year's Alumni Reunion?
This 1979 graduate of Mother Guerin High School showed up at Gibson's in Rosemont Oct. 24 for her class reunion garbed in the very uniform she wore while at student at Guerin in the 1970s. Besides inspiring jealousy that she was still able to fit into her high school garb, Lori Guzzo helped classmates remember the good old days. Click here for more views of reunion fun.
