 Jeans Will Soon
Be Headed to Haiti
The effort of Guerin Prep’s Key Club paid off in the collection of almost 900 pairs of jeans to help the victims of the tragic earthquake in Haiti. At left, Ms. Jane Maher, the Key Club moderator and one of the many forces behind the collection at Guerin Prep awaits the final pickup of jeans by representatives of Aeropostale, one of the sponsors of the “Teens for Jeans” drive throughout the Chicagoland area. Aeropostale has pledged they will match the first 100,000 pairs of jeans going to Haiti. If more than 100,000 pairs of jeans are collected they will be given to teens in homeless shelters right here in our own city.

During the ring ceremony, members of the Class of 2011 participate in a candle-lighting ceremony as a sign of their unity and of their commitment to carry out the ideals of Guerin Prep High School School.
