Foreign Language Honor Societies
At the foreign language induction May 18, the senior members of the Societe Honoraire de Francais, Societa Onoraria Italica and Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica received special tassels signifying the hard work they had invested in the language of thier choice during their high school career at Guerin Prep. They include Vanessa Carcanaquez, Oralis Moreno, Gina Maione, Elise Piagentini, Anthony Pilolli, Ximena Reyna, Cristina Sanchez, Mary Catherine Shamoon, Natalie Sitkowski, Amanda Kalom, Matthew Babitsch and Krystle Kioussis.
The newest members of Societe Honoraire de Francais are Aurore Charroud, Kaitlyn O'Donnell, Lauren Tisza and Victoria Williamson. Societa Onoraria Italica: Katia Aiello, Marie DiGiamcomo, Victoria Giannini, Christina Karahalios, Mary Kasza, Klaudia Kupinska, Gianna Marzec, Alexandra Miletta, Angelica Ortiz and Allyson Recto. Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica welcomed Matthew Babitsch, Melissa Barrera, Vanessa Barrios, Jilian Burns, Alex Da Cruz, Nadia DeNunnon; Sean Donlon.
NHS Induction
Guerin Prep's senior members of the National Honor Society show off the stoles they received during this year's induction ceremony and which they will wear over their gowns at graduation. The new NHS inductees were challenged to follow the four NHS pillars of scholarship, leadership, character and service. Class of 2010 inductees: Jonathan Cabai, Katarzyna Cukier, Jessica Lisak, Rebecca McManamon, Samantha Pucci, Nicole Shouse and Alina Thomas. Class of 2011 inductees: Ellen Benson, Andrea Bielicki, Nicolette Bridgeforth, Brian Campbell, Sean Donlan, Victoria Giannini, Amanda Holden, Rebecca Hufnus, Christina Karahalios, Sheena Marin, Allyson Recto, Nicholas Siman and Martha Zinkiewicz.
NAHS Induction
Meet the new members of the National Art Honor Society, pictured with Art Teachers Tom Susin and Christen Martin. The students were inducted on Tuesday May 5 during a ceremony at Guerin Prep. To be a member, you must take at least three art clases and earn an A in each of them and give 20 hours of service to art- related activities. The seniors in the back row are all sporting the special cord they will wear at graduation as a sign of their achievement.
