Sr. Frances Alma McManus Passes at Age 101

We are saddened to announce that Sr. Frances Alma McManus, Mother Theodore Guerin High School founding principal, passed away the morning of May 16 at age 101. Sr. Frances Alma was a Sister of Providence for 83 years.  May she rest in peace. Read more.

Join us for a Young Alumni Event

Young alumni and friends of Guerin College Preparatory High School are invited to the campus at 80th and Belmont for a FREE 50th Anniversary Celebration event:  Gator Palooza.   On June 9 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., enjoy a dee-jay, pick-up basketball games in the Holy Cross Gym , softball on the athletic field, bag games, outdoor volleyball and an inflatable obstacle course on the lawn sponsored by The River Café. From athletics to art to music, there is something for everyone at our summer camps. Summer in the Swamp is offered in two sessions, June 18-21 and June 25-28. All camps are open to boys and girls entering the fifth through eighth grades in the fall as well as incoming Guerin Prep freshmen.  For more information or to register, click here.

May Crowning Tradition Revived

Campus Ministry revived the tradition of the May Crowning with students participating in a prayer service in the courtyard.  The choir sang and readings were shared.  Following the service was a scholarship luncheon hosted by the Development Department.

Guerin Prep Takes Flight

Six Flags Great America treated Guerin Prep to the first public rides on its new roller coaster, X-Flight.  The students won a contest to receive the honor and a $1,000 donation to the school. About 360 students, faculty and staff participated in the thrilling event which was brought to the students' attention by Mrs. Nancy Konrath, student life director.

Class of 2016 Registers
